Music Workshop Weekend
at Wattle Hollow Retreat Center, West Fork AR
Spend three days in the Heart of the Ozarks
and experience an eclectic, organic approach to creating music
in a provocatively creative atmosphere.
A weekend of musical exploration and growth.
Listen to how much fun we have!
This clip was recorded during Jack’s workshop “De-Mystifying Music Theory” as he was illustrating an example of how the essential chords of any key can move from one to the other by means of stretching (augmenting) or compressing (diminishing) notes of the chord, and how these altered notes feel to the voice as they move. Recorded by Andrea T.
“Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome and safe from the moment I arrived…for an inspiring, stimulating, supportive, encouraging and just plain fun time. Topped off with fabulous meals and the cozy, exquisite Turtle Room! Easy to see why people come time and time again.” LeAynne S.

Wattle Hollow is a very special place – a beautiful, natural retreat with two large streams running through it. The retreat is used mostly for spiritual getaways and yoga retreats, with occasional special events like ours that fit the vision of Joy Fox, the owner. The accommodations are comfortable but rustic (think summer camp). Rooms are well furnished and cozy, and some of the bathrooms are composting toilets – more than outhouses but less than modern bathrooms. (Joy is very proud of them!) Shower facilities are limited. You can read all about the history and goings-on at the Hollow on their webpage – www.wattlehollow.com . We’re confident that everyone who comes to Wattle Hollow will fall in love with its beauty and peacefulness.
